Combed Earth

Artist's Statement: "This series was born from the question, 'When we throw something

away, what does away mean?' I used items such as tar, paint, ashes, shavings,

glue, and, plastic for an abstraction of the earth. From my 50 year old collection of

fortunes, I choose a fitting fortune and place bottom center. Fun & Serious."
